Before planning travel, Louis spent two decades helping luxury brands tell better stories. He started at Leo Burnett, working on Motorola and Morgan Stanley. He went on to lead brand strategy at Calvin Klein, John Varvatos, and Tommy Hilfiger, and later served as CMO at several venture-backed consumer brands.
He studied Folklore and Mythology at Harvard and design at Parsons. Both degrees shaped the same instinct: that the best experiences are the ones with a point of view. The ones that know what they are, and why it matters.

Common questions
How does Explora compare to Regent Seven Seas?
Regent includes shore excursions and pre-cruise hotel; Explora doesn't. But Explora's ships are newer, suites are larger entry-to-entry, and the design and food sensibility is meaningfully more European. Per-night pricing is usually 20–30% lower on Explora.
How does Explora compare to Silversea or Seabourn?
Silversea and Seabourn are smaller-ship heritage luxury; Explora is mid-sized modern luxury (~900 guests vs ~600). You give up some intimacy, you gain newer hardware, more dining venues, and a more design-forward atmosphere. We'd switch a long-time Silversea guest to Explora for the right itinerary without hesitation.
Is Explora's all-inclusive really all-inclusive?
Yes — closer to Seabourn's bundle than to Oceania's. Excursions and spa treatments are extra; nearly everything else is in the fare.
Will I notice the difference between Explora I, II, and III?
Subtle but real. They're sister ships with identical layouts, but the soft-product evolution since 2023 is noticeable — III in particular has incorporated learnings from the first two. We'll steer you to the right ship for your sailing date.
