Before planning travel, Louis spent two decades helping luxury brands tell better stories. He started at Leo Burnett, working on Motorola and Morgan Stanley. He went on to lead brand strategy at Calvin Klein, John Varvatos, and Tommy Hilfiger, and later served as CMO at several venture-backed consumer brands.
He studied Folklore and Mythology at Harvard and design at Parsons. Both degrees shaped the same instinct: that the best experiences are the ones with a point of view. The ones that know what they are, and why it matters.

What's included on Explora Journeys?
All nine restaurants, premium wines and spirits, in-suite minibar, specialty coffees, high-speed Wi-Fi, group fitness and wellness, gratuities, and port shuttles where available. Spa treatments, excursions, and the rarest bottles are not. We'll budget honestly with you.
Couples
Is Explora good for couples and honeymoons?
It's one of the strongest fits at sea. Private terraces on every suite, adult-leaning calm, two formal evenings without the stiffness, and overnights in ports like Santorini and St. Barths that let you actually have a romantic dinner ashore. We plan a lot of these.
Solo Travelers
Can I sail Explora solo, and what about the single supplement?
Yes — Explora is a strong fit for solo travelers given the calm onboard vibe. A single supplement applies on most sailings (typically 25–100% over the per-guest fare). On select dates we can secure reduced or waived supplements through preferred-partner promotions.
Insurance
Do I need travel insurance for an Explora sailing?
Strongly recommended at this price point. We coordinate independent policies — medical evacuation and cancel-for-any-reason cover — rather than upselling Explora's in-house product, so the coverage is broader and travels with you beyond the sailing.
Booking & Payment
How does booking and payment work?
Typically a 25% deposit at booking with the balance due roughly 120 days before sailing. Exact deposit and final-payment dates are sailing-specific, and we walk you through Explora's cancellation schedule before you commit.
