Explora Journeys ocean voyage — For celebration travelers
For celebration travelers

Milestone birthdays, anniversaries, the trip you've been promising yourselves.

Explora is built for the occasion travel where the room matters as much as the destination. Private terraces, considered dining, and the kind of service that quietly remembers.

The decision behind the decision

Big trips are usually overplanned or underplanned. Rarely just right.

You don't want a checklist trip. You also don't want to wing the 50th. The right sailing, suite, and pre/post extension turn the milestone into something seamless instead of stressful — and we plan dozens of these a year.

Why Explora for celebrations

All-inclusive that's actually all-inclusive, with the room to celebrate.

Nine restaurants are included — no specialty cover charges to skip on the night you wanted the chef's table. Champagne, fine wines, premium spirits, and in-suite minibar are part of the fare, so the dinner you're celebrating with is the dinner you ordered, not the dinner you priced.

The suites are large by category — the smallest Ocean Terrace is meaningfully bigger than many lines' top suites — and connecting configurations for multi-couple trips are doable when booked early.

Travel as story, not itinerary.

Before planning travel, Louis spent two decades helping luxury brands tell better stories. He started at Leo Burnett, working on Motorola and Morgan Stanley. He went on to lead brand strategy at Calvin Klein, John Varvatos, and Tommy Hilfiger, and later served as CMO at several venture-backed consumer brands.

He studied Folklore and Mythology at Harvard and design at Parsons. Both degrees shaped the same instinct: that the best experiences are the ones with a point of view. The ones that know what they are, and why it matters.

Suite at Sea is built on that instinct. Not every cruise line deserves your time. Explora Journeys does. The ships are smaller, the suites are better, and the pace is designed around the traveler, not the itinerary.

Common questions

Is Explora good for a milestone birthday or anniversary trip?

Yes — it's purpose-built for it. The all-inclusive model means no nickel-and-diming on the dinner you wanted, the suites are large enough to actually celebrate in, and the staff are excellent at marking occasions without making it feel staged.

Can we book connecting suites for a multi-couple celebration?

Yes, on select categories. Connecting and adjacent configurations sell first, so 12–18 months out is the sweet spot. We handle this all the time.

What's the right itinerary for a 50th birthday or 25th anniversary?

Mediterranean overnights (Santorini, Capri, Monte Carlo) for the iconic version. Norwegian fjords for the dramatic, quieter version. Caribbean with overnight St. Barths for warm-weather indulgence.

Will the cruise line acknowledge the occasion?

Almost always — and when you book through us, we make sure your sailing actually knows. Champagne in-suite, a curated dinner, and small touches that mean something.

Make the milestone the trip.
